RBS-AprBA
This part is a gene encoding the adhE2 enzyme from Clostridium acetobutylicum, which can catalyze the reversible conversion of butyraldehyde and NADH to butanol and NAD+ in the presence of CoA. This part can be used to construct biocatalysts for butyrate utilization or biofuel production. The part also contains a strong bacterial ribosome binding site (RBS) (BBa_B0034) to ensure efficient translation of the adhE2 gene. A HindIII restriction site was added at the end of the adhE2 gene to facilitate cloning into standard plasmid vectors.
